History:

The regiment was raised in 1794 when the Royal artillery regiment was devided into four parts, Svea - , Göta - , Finlands - and Wendes artillery regements. In 1809 the regiment was reinforced by two companies of the disbanded Finnish artillery regiment. Units from the regiment took part in the successful reconquest of Gotland in 1809. The regiment was located in Kristianstad until 1994 when it was relocated to Hässleholm. The regiment was motorized in 1943. The regiment is disbanded in 2000.

The regiments color is white. The standard is an honorary standard awarded in 1816 for the splended actions against the french in the Napoleonic war.
